Covi-Tude (covid-solitude)

All shot in the period of the first lock down It is a story in 4 parts which talks about an alien fallen to earth in the period of the lock down (part I) who arrives in a family and lives in the kitchen where he tries to have fun but feels alone (part II) and locked up by the walls that prevent him from going out (part III) and then finally can go out and go shopping (part IV).

LA CADUTA Mi chiamo SIMON e vengo da un altro mondo, un mondo lontano, cado su questo pianeta ammalato all’improvviso, precipito come Thomas Gerome Newton l’uomo caduto sulla terra di Nicolas Roeg del 1976, come Icaro di Bruegel il Vecchio con le sue gambe fuori dall’acqua. THE KITCHEN I'm desperate and lock myself in the house. In the kitchen. But I feel lonely, isolated, fearful and depressed. I do not experience it positively as everyone tells, but with anguish. Me and my food. I build myself a pirogue to escape., To save myself. Seeking company in a desert. I try to take refuge on an island

THE WALLS The walls of the house are like mountains. I feel that they protect me, in a certain sense they save me, they keep me away from the evil that is out there where you die. But they chained me, I can't get out, they keep us locked up and the days go by, all the same. Every day the media move forward the day of the end of the lock down, of the possible semi-freedom. The walls are high and surround me. My mind starts to waver. But what are we going to do next? What will our future be like? I'm starting to think I should go back to where I came from.

SHOPPING Here we are. They said you can go out next Monday. Finally I take courage. You have to be very careful but if you follow the rules you can get out. Where am I going? I have no appointment. I don't have to meet anyone. Gatherings are prohibited. Friends can't be seen. But what freedom is it? Better still take advantage of it. I go shopping.
